The Australian Government has introduced a new instrument removing the visa application charge for eligible applicants seeking the Temporary Activity (subclass 408) visa under the Australian Government Endorsed Event stream for the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Only individuals accredited by the Brisbane Organising Committee and connected to approved Olympic and Paralympic bodies will qualify. All standard subclass 408 criteria continue to apply, including health, character and genuine temporary entrant requirements.
This measure applies from 21 January 2026 to 6 September 2032.
This initiative supports streamlined entry for essential Games personnel involved in delivering Brisbane 2032.
